Štruklji

Štruklji are traditional Slovenian rolled dumplings made with a dough filled with various sweet or savoury fillings. They can be enjoyed as a main course or dessert, traditionally filled with typical Slovenian cottage cheese called skuta or with walnuts.

You can order Štruklji in most of the restaurants, but it is common to eat traditional food in the mountains. Among the Slovenians a common hiking trip with Štruklji on the top is Planinski dom na Kofcah.
